You will need:
- 1 potato (this is the perfect amount for one person)
- vegetable oil
- your choice of seasoning (I used Italian seasoning)
Cut your potato into wedges (as seen above!)
Place the wedges into a small container with a lid. Add a splash of vegetable oil (you’ll be frying them later in oil, so no need to go crazy with the oil at this step) and all the spices you want. Shake til all wedges have some spice (as seen above!).
Microwave until soft. For me, this was about 4 minutes, but microwave power varies so check them periodically. I eventually placed a wet paper towel over them so the oil wouldn’t go everywhere. This is not a vital step.
In a frying pan, heat up some oil. I kept my pan at medium-high because I wanted to make sure the wedges didn’t burn. Be patient and they will become crispy and golden.
Enjoy! Be careful to not burn yourself, as the insides will be steamy.
Now, the real question is: what are some fun ways to flavor these?
