Ready & Set-ish

Today’s new thing has been going for a while. Beginning of this semester, I started a 6 week 5k training plan from Runner’s World Guide to Road Racing to train for a race this coming Sunday. Each week basically consisted of 1 track/speed workout, 1 hill workout, 1 long run, and 2 easy runs mixed in. I’m very excited and feel well-prepared except for the making myself wake up around 7 AM all this week to get ready to do so on Sunday (the race is at 8). Somehow my sleepy self this morning managed to stay asleep and turn off three alarms. It’s hard to wake up at 7 when you’re up til 1… Curse you, homework.
